To those patients that were using the original link to request repeat prescriptions, you will see it now directs you to a different website called 'Patient Access'.
You will need to register before being able to use the new facility..
You can either:
i) pre-register online using the link above - you will be asked for information that must match our records to identify you. You must then come in to the surgery to show us a form of photographic ID to complete the process
ii) ask at reception for further details - again we will need to see a form of photographic ID such as a driving licence or passport to verify your identity to register you
For patients under 16, or those having issues with the online service, please send your requests by email to:
Just type your name and date of birth in the subject line, and the items you require & where you will collect from in the body of the message.
Reasons for change:
Unfortunately, the original facility was proving unreliable for many. We are now asking that you register to use the more robust & comprehensive patient online access service, more details are below.
We apologise for any short term inconvenience these changes may cause, but hope the long term gains will be worth it, as in addition to requesting repeat prescriptions, you can also manage appointments and view a partial summary of your record, including vaccinations and allergies. Whilst we are hoping to offer online registration for patient services in the future, current information governance guidance means it can only be done in person for now, as we must see ID to allow you greater access to your record.
We have had good feedback from those already using the service, so we hope it will be straightforward and useful to all our patients.
ONLINE PATIENT SERVICES (EMIS online - Patient Access)
This facility offers all registered patients over the age of 16 years access to repeat prescription ordering, GP appointment booking/viewing/cancelling, and a partial view of your clinical record, such as allergies and immunisations.
Please register online, or ask for further details at reception.
The website is: https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk/, or use the link at the top of this page.
Where you collect your prescription will remain unchanged when using online services - it can either be collected from the surgery, or by one of the local chemists.
We are pleased to provide a 48-hour repeat prescription service for your convenience, but please note we are unable to accept requests via the telephone unless the patient is housebound.
Routine medication reviews are performed at intervals and you may be called in to see a doctor before your prescription can be issued. This is to ensure that your condition is stable and that you are still receiving the most appropriate treatment.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
Electronic Prescription Service
You can register at any pharmacy to have your prescriptions sent electronically to that pharmacy. Please be aware that ALL your prescription requests will automatically be sent to that particular pharmacy unless you tell us that you wish to change your collection place.
